Headquartered in London, Ovum is a highly ambitious global ICT industry analyst and consulting company.  We are looking for an energetic, proactive and experienced Account Manager to join our Hong Kong office. 

 

The successful applicant will be a dynamic and motivated team player who is passionate about driving business.  You should have at least 5-year experience selling solutions in a business to business blue chip environment to senior key decision makers.

The role will be selling our flagship products and as an Account Manager within our Sales team, your role will involve:

 

 

  • Achieving revenue targets from existing client base to grow existing business while building and maintaining outstanding client relationships.
  • Support the existing accounts through training clients, setting up users, liaising with analysts and client services regarding client queries.
  • Tracking all activity in Salesforce and ensuring that all KPIs are met
  • To work to a specific renewals process for all accounts
  • Ability to prospect, pursue and secure new business from select ring-fenced prospects and ability to cross sell and upsell within existing account portfolio
  • To work independently, proactively and smartly towards maximising territory with a drive to succeed and a track record in pitching over the phone, cold calling, presenting and F2F demonstrations and presentations at C-level
  • Presenting the opportunities and value of OVUM’s products and services.
  • Building up long term relationships and developing account plans for revenue growth to ensure high renewal rates by account and value.
  • Determining client needs and to be constantly aware of opportunities to up-sell to an organisation is a must
  • Building up strategic selling, presentation, proposal writing and packaging bespoke solutions skills
Required Skills

            5 – Comfortable in negotiations of up to 6 figure contracts

            6 – Can assert pressure comfortably and professionally

 

· A minimum of 5 years experience in B2B phone sales of a consultative nature of at least 48 months who is a team player and good working under pressure

· A degree achieved at a minimum of 2:1 in any discipline (Business related degree’s preferable)

·An exceptional work ethic, ability to work with clients and internal teams and above all else organised to manage multiple tasks and working to targets

·Experience in presenting the value of market information is desired

· Strong presentation, organisational, communication, negotiation and closing skills both by phone and F2F – an excellent telephone manner is vital

·Highly developed business acumen and ability to understand the wider issues of the market sectors of ICT and the business issues clients face

·Problem solving, positive attitude and a service orientated mentality with the ability to keep meticulous account records for all clients

· Examples of Client development and retention skills to build long term profitable partnerships is a must

· Experience in understanding, proposing and writing tenders desirable

· Comfortable with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Office packages
