Bank of America is looking for an Enterprise Regulatory Relationship Manager to join our team as a Policy, Regulatory Intelligence & Strategy Manager. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:



+ Keeping apprised of regulators’ priorities and regulatory developments by understanding and analyzing internal (e.g., insights from exams and meeting routines) and external (e.g., speeches, reports, agendas, bulletins, press releases) information

+ Generating actionable insights for the lines of business, corporate functions, legal entities, product lines and customers/clients by collaborating with colleagues in Global Regulatory Relations (GRR), public policy, legal and compliance

+ Facilitating the preparation of or preparing the weekly regulatory activities report, external news highlights, topical deep dives, thematic analyses, and advanced briefing materials for senior leaders

+ Facilitating clear and consistent communications both internally and externally on regulatory insights, priorities and developments

+ Developing and maintaining strong relationships with others in the GRR organization, public policy, legal, compliance, the lines of business and corporate functions

+ Facilitating meetings of the Global Regulatory Relations (GRR) Network by, among other things, assisting in the preparation of the meeting agenda and meeting materials

+ Fostering a strong network of subject matter experts and engaging with various industry and advocacy groups focused on regulation and regulatory developments

+ Provide ongoing support to the GRR team and key internal constituencies, including supporting and executing ad-hoc projects and requests

+ Supporting a positive and collaborative GRR culture



Requirements



+ 7-10 years of relevant regulatory relations work experience

+ Prior Exam Management experience is ideal

+ Ability to conduct external and internal research using primary and secondary sources

+ Deep understanding (or very strong interest in understanding) financial regulatory agencies and regulatory oversight

+ Strong presentation skills: Must have a demonstrated ability to present key messages, recommendations and information in a clear, concise and insightful way and synthesize information key to relevant points

+ Prior experience preparing executive level materials

+ Executive demeanor and comfortably interacting at all levels within the organization

+ Creative approach to addressing challenges and an ability to generate new ideas and advance the team’s thinking

+ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize work and meet tight deadlines

+ Outstanding PowerPoint, Excel, Word and project management skills

+ Strong business knowledge of Bank of America’s business lines, operations, organizational structure, senior executives, etc.

+ Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

+ Impeccable attention to detail

+ Detailed knowledge (or very strong interest in developing detailed knowledge) of the company’s businesses and products

+ Collaborative, team player with strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to build and cultivate relationships both externally and internally

+ Self-starter, able to work independently and with a team with minimal supervision



Enterprise Role Overview:



The Enterprise Regulatory Relationship Manager is accountable for managing and overseeing the enterprise-wide exam management processes and providing leadership and guidance to the company regarding regulatory agency inquiries and other interactions. Responsible for providing leadership direction, attracting, assessing, developing, motivating and retaining a successful team in the following activities:

Agency Coordination

• Provides overall coordination between the Bank and regulatory agencies.

• Shares and coordinates communications between agency and the company.

• Oversees maintenance of regulatory meeting calendar and master exam schedule.

• Provides a centralized receipt and distribution of exam notifications, conclusion letters and responses.

• Coordinates certain high-level meetings and crisis event communications with the Regulators.

• Oversees management of regulatory logistics including space for onsite examiners, system access and secure data transmission protocols.

• Serves as exam manager for certain enterprise-level exams.

Agency Intelligence

• Responsible for understanding agency protocols and contact information and providing relevant to associates.

• Responsible for notifying impacted stakeholders of regulatory agency changes, news and areas of focus.

Regulatory Interaction Oversight

• Prepares executives and business leadership on key messages to present when working with regulators.

• Provides regulatory examination, inquiry and meeting oversight, guidance and support.

• Ensures a qualified exam manager is assigned for each exam.

• Conducts regulatory interaction oversight activities: ranging from oversight reviews of use of enterprise tools and compliance with exam management standards, to continuous support/dialogue with the Exam Manager/Exam Team.

Regulatory Activity Tracking, Reporting and Escalation

• Responsible for the ongoing processes to effectively track examinations, inquiries and meetings.

• Responsible for escalating any regulator concerns, emerging themes or issues.

• Develops and maintains effective reporting and communication routines to achieve enterprise understanding of key regulatory issues.

Regulatory Interaction Protocols, Tools and Training

• Sets, updates and communicates Global Regulatory Exam Management Standards and Exam Management Playbook.

• Maintains enterprise-wide tools used for regulatory interaction and tracking purposes.

• Manages training on exam management process, regulatory interaction protocols and tools.

Regulatory Responses

• Coordinates regulatory inquiry responses.

• Coordinates consistent, high quality and timely regulatory supervisory letter responses.

Responsible for ensuring consistent quality of activities, processes and outputs by establishing effective review practices across teams.



Requirements:



Minimum Years Business & Functional Experience: 7 Years



Degree Required: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
