Responsible for developing, enhancing, modifying and/or maintaining applications in the Global Markets environment. Software developers design, code, test, debug and document programs as well as support activities for the corporate systems architecture. Employees work closely with business partners in defining requirements for system applications. Employees are expected to have in-depth capital markets product knowledge, and manage a high level of risk. Employees typically have in-depth knowledge of development tools and languages. Is clearly recognized as a content expert by peers. Individual contributor role. Typically requires 5-7 years of applicable experience. This job code is only to be used for associates supporting Global Markets.



**Responsibilities:**



Counterparty Credit Risk Technology is looking for a talented developer proficient in Java & C++ to design, develop and test a near real-time counterparty credit risk limit checking library for BAML’s strategic intra-day counterparty credit risk limit checking platform.



The software will need to be architected to handle multiple vanilla derivatives products; initially in the FX, Rates and Credit asset classes. The software will need to be modular and fast.



**Required Skills:**



+ Minimum 8 years software development experience

+ Minimum 3 year experience in Java

+ Minimum 3 year experience in C++ Excellent object oriented design & development skills required

+ Solid experience with test-driven development required

+ Solid quantitative/mathematical ability; understanding of matrices, interpolation required.

+ Understanding of derivatives and financial products required



**Desired Skills:**



+ Degree in a quantitative subject or related field of study

+ Degree from a first rate university is a plus
