IT Technician, Part-Time – Informa Investment Solutions | White Plains, NY


Informa Investment Solutions, Inc. (IIS) is currently seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time IT Technician to join its team in White Plains, NY, and report into the Manager of Help Desks & Operations. The position is for first shift, primarily for the weekends, and some second shift.

Role Description


The IT Technician will monitor the running of all production processes and ensure adherence to established service levels for the same. Properly operate production systems. Observe peripheral equipment and error messages displayed on monitor to detect faulty output or machine stoppage.   Part-Time Entry Level IT Technician should be able to interact well with internal and external users.  Good verbal and written communication skills are a must.  Attention to detail is key.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities will be the monitoring of daily processing jobs
  • Answering the 24hour help desk telephone
  • Coordinating after hour support issues
  • Monitoring DC environment
  • Entering/tracking help desk tickets
  • Follow through on problem resolutions.  
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor listed above


Key Qualifications 

  • Education – College Education preferred / High School Diploma required
  • Background – Comprehensive knowledge of:
    • Computer Usage
    • Holding oneself in a professional manner with personnel both internal and external to the organization.
    • Demonstrated ability to:
      • Work alone within a fast paced dynamic environment.
    • Experience – Proficient in Computer Usage, answering/directing incoming help desk calls
    • Communication Skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Interpersonal Skills - Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
    • Technology - Strong computer skills.
    • Organizational Skills - Exceptional organizational & time management skills. Individual must possess a high capacity for multi-tasking.
    • Responsibility and Initiative - An ability to work independently in an efficient and responsible manner.
    • Teamwork - Experience in working effectively with others in a team setting.
    • Flexibility & Ambition - Desire to work for a fast-paced company where individual contributions have significant impact on the success of the company as a whole.
    • Work Ethic – Adaptable, open-minded, willing to drive projects to completion on time.
