Description **Job Description:**

Serve in the role of Information Management Architect within Data, Quality & Control organization. Architect will support a variety of initiatives across the data and analytics domain within Consumer, Small Business & Wealth Management Technology.

The Information Management Architect will support business initiatives and strategic efforts that focus on building and leveraging information assets to improve sales and service activities for our business partners with a specific focus on big data technologies and development of data and analytics solutions on big data platforms.

Required Skills:

• Hands-on experience in managing large scale data within Big Data environments

• Hands-on experience in designing and developing analytical environments and business intelligence solutions

• Understanding of ETL tools, technologies and development methodologies

• Understanding of large scale batch processing

• Understanding of large analytical environments, with many stakeholders, users, different (conflicting) sets of requirements, technology stacks

• Understanding of conceptual, logical and physical data modeling

• Understanding and design of data quality processes

• Understanding and experience with web services, APIs and micro-services design and architecture

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired Skills:

• Broad Bank of America technical experience and good understanding of existing testing/operational processes and an open mind on how to enhance those

• Typically 7+ year experience in systems technology implementation

• Data management experience (metadata management, data quality measurement, etc.) – 5+ years

• Data modeling experience – 5+ years

• Understanding of architecture methods

• Understanding of service oriented architecture

• Understanding of relational databases, data modeling techniques

• Understanding of industry trends and vendor positioning

• Understand relevant application technologies and development life cycles

• Demonstrated ability to adapt to changes

• Effective negotiation and team facilitation skills

• Solid understanding of banking/finance industry domain and applications

The Information Management Architect will have the following responsibilities:

• Develop standards, patterns, guidelines, best practices for data ingestion, instrumentation, data design

• Identify, prioritize, catalogue and maintain a roadmap for new sources of data and associated business value including 3rd party data

• Facilitate effective data reuse and sharing among applications

• Manage data platform metadata and data lineage

• Develop and maintain data quality dashboard for data platform

• Develop and maintain enterprise data model for consumption (Silver/Gold layer)

• Ensure initiatives are adhering to strategic architecture principles

• Work with business partners to translate functional requirements into technical requirements

• Serve as a fully seasoned, technically proficient resource; routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities as a team member or as an individual contributor. Will not have direct-reports but will influence and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations.
