This position is based at Instrons Electro-Mechanical equipment division located in Norwood, Massachusetts.


 


The Opportunity


 


This is a highly visible and hands-on role that incorporates many traditional HR functional responsibilities such as recruitment and employee relations, as well as more proactive activities that involve partnering with different areas of the business to address organizational development challenges, managing change and policy development and implementation.


 


This position is closely aligned with key business functions, primarily our North American Service and Sales teams to ensure seamless delivery and execution of HR services as well as the design and implementation of many HR related initiatives.  The role serves as a trusted advisor and business partner to the leadership teams within those functions with special focus on building and supporting the talent, safety and cultural development strategies.  Occasional travel required (domestic and international).


 


Requirements


 


Successful applicants will have a Bachelors Degree and 3-5 years experience in an HR Coordination or Generalist role (PHR certification is desired).  Additional requirements include:


 




  • A significant depth of knowledge and experience in the following HR functional areas: recruiting, performance management, interpreting and applying employment laws, employee and leadership development, process improvement, and compensation and benefits.



  • Strong computer skills, with emphasis on Microsoft Office desktop tools and social media.Workday experience desired.



  • Effective demonstrating the following:personal confidence and strong initiative, effective listening, ability to coach and influence others.



  • Strong analytical skills and a track record of success with problem solving and process improvements.



  • Demonstrates flexibility and a willingness to learn.
