Informa Business Intelligence provides market intelligence, news and analysis, bespoke consulting services, industry events and specialist online training to millions of customers worldwide through online platforms and multimedia subscription services.  We provide businesses, professionals, academics, scientists and governments with information so they can act, and ultimately make valuable and profitable decisions.


Informa Consulting provides custom research, analysis and advice to clients across Business Intelligence’s verticals, principally TMT, Pharma and Agribusiness.  We leverage the business data and expertise in the core business to provide customised support and solutions.  Many of our clients are subscribers to Business Intelligence products.  Informa Consulting is a global business, with team members based in London, New York, Memphis, Washington DC, Sao Paulo and Australia.


We have ambitious growth plans for Informa Consulting, and to support growth we need to upgrade how we run consulting: the process, tools, dashboards, ways of working and communication.  We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual who can help drive changes in these areas.


The consulting teams themselves sit in the industry verticals.  The Consulting Operations Analyst will support the Head of Consulting and Consulting Operations Manager, and vertical consulting teams, in developing analytics of the consulting business and implementing change.  The analytics will be critical KPIs and analysis to enable effective management of the consulting business.  


The role:


  • Support development of analytics to enable better management of the consulting business e.g. forecasts, revenue per project, revenue per client, utilisation rates, etc.
  • Designing spreadsheets and other analytics tools to make data capture and reporting more accurate and efficient.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of key changes to the consulting business. Examples might involve: implementing timesheets, implementing a new resourcing tool, rolling out a new performance appraisal matrix, enhancing pipeline management process, enhancing the consulting website, supporting and developing our intranet for knowledge management.
  • Activities will involve helping develop the solution, planning implementing, communicating the change and rolling out.
  • Supporting the process for communicating to the consulting team.


What we are looking for: 


  • BSc Degree qualified or similar
  • Sound commercial understanding
  • Analytical and driven by insight and understanding
  • Excellent MS Excel skills
  • The ability to communicate effectively at all levels
